Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Upstate University Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling procedures in the Heart and Vascular Center, including Cardiac Catheterization, Endovascular, Electrophysiology, and Cardiac Ultrasound.

You will serve as a liaison to internal and external departments/agencies, coordinating scheduling procedures with multiple patient care and testing areas. This includes obtaining insurance authorizations as necessary and directing phone calls to appropriate HVC departments.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare setting or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent communication and computer skills, and ability to work independently required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical and medical scheduling, and EPIC EMR Software experience preferred
Work Environment:

This is a Monday-Friday position, 7:00am-3:30pm, with rotating hours of 8:30am-5:00pm. Holidays and weekends are off.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
