Cardiovascular Stepdown Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Resident to join our team in the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit at St. Joseph's Health.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular nursing.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those undergoing open-heart surgery and vascular procedures. You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, conducting EKG monitoring, administering tube feeds, and performing dressing changes.
In addition to your clinical skills, you will also play a key role in educating patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams will be essential in this role.

About the Role:- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced stepdown unit environment
- Conduct EKG monitoring and administer cardiac drips
- Perform dressing changes and provide wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in cardiovascular nursing
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Maintains current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
