About the Role
The Pediatric Unit Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our unit. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the unit, including transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and performing clerical tasks such as transcription and maintenance of the patient care unit desk area functions.

Key Responsibilities
Assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation. May be responsible for specimen collection, skin preps/scrubs, catheter care, capillary blood glucose checks, simple wound care, range of motion exercises, and/or postural drainage. Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by the registered nurse or physician and document patient understanding of instructions. Distribute patient education materials at the request of patients and/or healthcare providers.

Requirements
Fluency in verbal and written English language, Basic Life Support certification, and listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
