Job Overview:

A Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring project success by effectively managing costs, addressing underlying issues, and enhancing operational systems. Establishing strong relationships with team members and subcontractors is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction quality through daily site inspections
  • Facilitate pre-construction discussions with clients
  • Conduct walkthroughs with clients during framing and finishing stages
  • Lead client orientation sessions
  • Manage home construction according to established timelines and methodologies
  • Adhere to company protocols and procedures during home construction
  • Implement trade partner agreements and documentation
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards
  • Deliver completed projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications
  • Uphold onsite safety by implementing the company's safety protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites
  • Complete all inspections and address punch list items
  • Generate and update weekly progress reports
  • Approve and issue changes for work orders and purchase orders
  • Foster excellent client relations through proactive communication and exceeding expectations
  • Uphold and promote the company's vision, values, and culture
  • Assist in the recruitment of new subcontractors
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations
  • Proactively address field issues as they arise
  • Attend and engage in necessary meetings
  • Collaborate with various departments
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with subcontractors, employees, inspectors, municipalities, developers, and suppliers
  • Support warranty processes upon project completion as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities in a team setting

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent walking, standing, and climbing in and around construction sites
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Capacity to read and understand extensive information, operate computer systems, and lift up to 60 lbs independently
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and navigate office environments
  • Willingness to perform other related duties as necessary
