**Job Summary:** We seek an experienced Executive Director of Elementary Education to lead our elementary school (K1-4) in providing a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering equity, inclusion, and belonging while promoting high expectations for all students.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Instructional Leadership:

  • Set high standards for instructional practices at all levels.
  • Provide planning models and instructional strategies for teachers.
  • Develop and implement the school's accountability plan and strategic plan.
  • Support curriculum, instruction, and assessment, leading to self-directed learners prepared for success.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

  • Evaluate and oversee instructional programs and activities.
  • Develops and implements daily schedules and student activities.
  • Recruits, supervises, develops, and evaluates educators and school staff.
  • Implements district, state, and national policies, regulations, and procedures.

Proactive Leadership:

  • Facilitates communication with families and staff.
  • Ensures effective onboarding orientation.
  • Conducts frequent classroom observations to monitor and support educators.
  • Cools and develops teachers toward leadership opportunities.
  • Plans professional development aligned to the district's vision and initiatives.

Critical Thinking:

  • Analyzes and reports on student performance assessments.
  • Implements data team meetings for goal setting and growth.

School Culture:

  • Establishes a culture of love of learning, student agency, and growth.
  • Leads anti-racist work and builds an inclusive school community.
  • Creates a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and equity.

Facilitation:

  • Uses interpersonal styles to guide individuals and groups.
  • Plans and executes staff meetings.
  • Facilitates problem-solving and counseling with parents and staff.

Parent/Family Connections:

  • Builds relationships with families and works collaboratively to strengthen the educational program.
  • Actively engages with our Board of Trustees to ensure school growth and improvement.

Professionalism:

  • Upholds district policies, administrative procedures, and school rules.
  • Maintains regular attendance and appropriate relationships with staff and leaders.
