As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering therapy services to patients in an acute care environment. POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the general supervision of the rehabilitation manager, you will provide and document a comprehensive range of physical therapy treatments and assessments for diverse patient populations. You will also oversee supportive staff and engage in educational initiatives.
Onboarding Process: Candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug test.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of one year of experience in acute care is preferred, along with completion of student affiliation in an acute care setting, meeting entry-level competency standards as defined by APTA or experience as a PTA in acute care.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Effective communication with patients, families, visitors, colleagues, physicians, and other staff members is essential.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited program leading to a degree in physical therapy assistant and eligibility to sit for the board exam. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Licensure in the State of Massachusetts and BLS certification are mandatory.
Tenet adheres to federal, state, and local laws regarding workforce vaccination mandates. Candidates offered this position must provide proof of vaccination or obtain an exemption prior to starting. Regular testing will be required for those with exemptions.
