About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at PSG Global Solutions Careers. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the plant facility systems are maintained operational, identifying and following through on repairs, and working independently to carry out generalized instructions pertaining to operations of the Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure plant facility systems are maintained operational
  • Identify and follow through on repairs, assigning repairs to Facilities Technician or by working with vendors as necessary
  • Work independently in carrying out generalized instructions pertaining to operations of the Maintenance Department under the direction of management
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals
  • Lay out work and estimate materials and costs
  • Assist in working on preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Maintain records and inventories as required and keep an orderly and clean work area
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 1-year mechanical/maintenance experience
  • Food Manufacturing experience, Sanitary Design experience, and knowledge of SIX SIGMA techniques such as 5-S would be a plus
  • Journeyman card preferred
  • High level of machine troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing environment including but not limited to: Allen Bradley PLC's, Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Servo Motors, Refrigeration systems (NH3), Boiler systems, and HVAC systems
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of proficiency with little or no supervision, particularly as such involves the specific trade area
  • Skilled in the use of instruments, tools, and equipment of the specific trade and be moderately skilled in the use of tools of various trades
  • Able to design, build, construct, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, set up, or adjust machinery, equipment, parts, vehicles, or structures
  • Positions may be offered at Tradesman, Journeyman, or Craftsman level
  • Must be able to progress to top Craftsman
  • Must be a motivated team player
  • Ability to work an alternative work schedule and shifts
