Job Summary

The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, working closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record vital signs, discuss patient health concerns, and perform laboratory tests under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Assist with specialized procedures, perform vision, peak flow, and lung function tests, and administer medications and injections.
  • Provide coverage at other locations as needed and maintain accurate records of patient interactions.
Requirements
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a Medical Assisting certification or registration in Missouri or completion of formalized education from an accredited school.
  • Hold current CPR certification and demonstrate phlebotomy skills, basic keyboard skills, and computer knowledge.
  • Be able to see, hear, read, write, kneel, stand, sit, and lift up to 35 lbs. without device assistance and handle stressful situations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, demonstrate tact, patience, and good communication skills, and have the ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed.
