Job Summary

Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, Jobot, is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join their team.

This role involves designing and developing automatic control systems, with a focus on electrical hardware design and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess a proven background in control systems, with experience in electrical hardware design and troubleshooting at both circuit board and system levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to product definition during the lifecycle by developing detailed electrical and software/firmware system requirements and design documentation.
  • Define hardware for new products, including point-to-point wiring schematics, electrical component specifications, and oversight of electrical equipment fabrication.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and proficiency in troubleshooting for installation, commissioning, and startup tasks. Provide remote support for existing customers as needed.
  • Develop and maintain automated product testers and assist with data acquisition projects for product development and testing.
  • Develop project schedules, coordinate Integrated Product Team activities, and track subsystem technical status. Interaction with senior management and familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts will also be beneficial.
Requirements
  • BSEE or MSEE (ABET Accredited) or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a diverse, challenging, and innovative technology environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team.
  • Previous experience in controls and instrumentation application.
  • Ability to design and simulate control systems.
