Norfolk, Virginia, United States Sentara Health Full time

At Sentara Healthcare, we are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the communities we serve. As a Movement Disorder Neurologist with our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of neurology at the Lawrence J. Goldrich Institute for Integrated Neuro-Health.

This full-time position within the Sentara Medical Group (SMG) Division of Neurology is designed for a Fellowship-Trained Movement Disorders Neurologist. You will obtain an EVMS faculty appointment in the Department of Neurology, providing an opportunity for academic growth and development.

The primary role of this position is to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with movement disorders. This includes working closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

This exciting joint opportunity offers the best of both worlds by combining a private practice model with an academic position. As an SMG employee, you will receive competitive compensation and benefits, while also being jointly appointed to EVMS as faculty with a rank commensurate with experience.

Sentara Healthcare is a non-profit organization that is deeply committed to delivering exceptional patient care and making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. Our Division of Neurology within SMG is the largest neurology practice in the area, featuring a team of experienced neurohospitalists and fellowship-trained specialists in various areas of neurology.

This position will be based on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General hospital and EVMS at the new, state-of-the-art Goldrich Institute. You will have access to a range of resources and facilities, including comprehensive clinics for Parkinson's and Huntington's disease patients, as well as a busy Botox clinic for dystonia.

We estimate that the salary for this position will be around $400,000 per year, based on national averages for similar positions in the United States. However, please note that actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.

In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options and paid time off. We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports the health and wellbeing of our employees.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Movement Disorder Neurologists or those who have recently completed a Movement Disorders fellowship to join our team and contribute to the advancement of neurology in our community.
