Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a diverse array of culinary items in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Establish and maintain a well-organized workstation, ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available.
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as required.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
  • Utilize various cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and grilling.
  • Present and garnish dishes according to established standards.
  • Adhere to food temperature regulations and maintain accurate documentation throughout events.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Receive constructive feedback and share insights with leadership.

Qualifications

  • Preferred prior supervisory experience in a culinary role.
  • Required experience as a cook or in a related position.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Food safety certification is mandatory.
  • Basic math and counting skills are essential.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.

This position involves physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Employees are required to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment, including burn sleeves, aprons, and gloves.

Compensation Information

The hourly wage for this position is $21.75, reflecting Aramark's good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Employment is considered 'at-will,' allowing Aramark to adjust salary and compensation programs as necessary, based on individual performance, departmental performance, and market conditions.
