Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, from receipt to shipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process new and refill prescriptions, verifying quantities and preparing labels for bottles.
  • Select and retrieve appropriate medications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify and prepare packages for shipment, affixing shipping labels and sorting by carrier.
  • Clean equipment and replenish workstation supplies, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the pharmacy team in achieving our mission.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required, with PTCB certification preferred.
  • Basic math skills and general PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
