We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to contribute to our projects. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering technical engineering insights to ensure that construction activities adhere to all engineering standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.

  • Engage daily with project teams to assess the production timeline and confirm that all essential materials, tools, and resources are available to maintain production efficiency and budget compliance.
  • Gather, organize, and evaluate shop drawings, design specifications, and project information to ensure quality and adherence to contract requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance for project work plans and timelines, identifying potential risks that may affect budget or scheduling.
  • Continuously assess production, scheduling, and budget forecasts to effectively monitor project performance. Document daily operations using approved methodologies and technologies.
  • Inform team members and supervisors of any major schedule adjustments and propose solutions for consideration.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure accurate project quantity tracking and controls are upheld by utilizing designated project cost coding for precise financial reporting.
  • Review and validate daily timecards for all construction teams. Collaborate with the office manager, payroll, and job supervisors to resolve any timecard-related inquiries.
  • Examine project specifications for quality assurance at various stages. Manage certifications, inspections, and other documentation pertinent to construction activities.
  • Work alongside construction teams and engineering leaders to strategize the field layout, ensuring all utility and commercial lines are marked prior to the commencement of work. Secure necessary permits before initiating operations.
  • Conduct required Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to uphold a safe working environment. Participate in weekly safety meetings and present field assessments as needed.
  • Assist the estimating team with project timelines and provide technical input as necessary.
  • Support the development of design drawings and coordinate subcontractor work methods and schedules.
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of job close-out checklists with owner representatives and field teams upon project completion.
  • Stay informed about Company values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications for this Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in construction engineering.
  • Fundamental understanding of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive attitude and a desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling and production time management.
  • Prior experience or knowledge in construction engineering.
