Job Overview:

HexaQuEST Global - Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team in a dynamic environment. As a key member of our critical access unit, you will provide exceptional patient care, supporting both pediatric and adult patients in an efficient, safe, and courteous manner.

Job Description:

Nursing Practice:

  • Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe physical assessments and social assessments for patients upon admission.
  • Develop and update written care plans daily to ensure personalized patient care.
  • Initiate cardiac monitoring, oxygen therapy, non-invasive blood pressure, and oximetry as needed.
  • Deliver nursing care through the nursing process, including assessment, problem identification, planning, interventions, and evaluation.
  • Re-assess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention or reporting to physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine patient care, including blood draws from central lines and interpreting computerized monitor trends.
  • Administer medications, calculate doses, and maintain current knowledge of medications.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical and nursing treatment, nursing care, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with health care teams to adjust and improve approaches to recovery, utilizing critical thinking skills for appropriate patient interventions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care settings, preferably in pediatric and adult critical access units.
  • Certifications in ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and EMR proficiency in EPIC.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing time efficiently.
