Job Title: National Coordinator of Internships and Field Instruction

At Dismas Charities, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Coordinator of Internships and Field Instruction to join our team.

Job Summary:

The National Coordinator of Internships and Field Instruction will be responsible for coordinating, conducting, and overseeing internship programs or projects in support of degree completion while providing supervision and instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly one hour supervision of primarily social work and counseling students to review activities and assignments.
  • Process student time sheets, learning/educational agreements, evaluations, process recordings/reflection learning tools, and other required forms.
  • Attend meetings with university, college faculty, staff, field liaisons, and field instructor trainings.
  • Conduct pre-placement interviews, coordinate placements with center staff, provide field orientation, and maintain contact with center staff on student performance.
  • Develop affiliation agreements with universities/colleges and coordinate the dissemination of the Dismas internship program at student recruitment fairs when possible.
  • Submit monthly reports on the internship program, provide supervision of contract field instructor(s), and process intern completion letters.
  • Responsible for attending and participating in all meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work.
  • LMSW and LCSW is preferred.
  • Two years' experience post master's degree.
  • Work experience should include Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Word and Excel applications.
  • Should understand basic PC concepts (files, file paths, copying and pasting, deleting, and moving files) as well as operation of common office machinery.
  • The candidate must also have good typing, spelling, grammar, organizational, and phone skills.
