The role involves providing or assisting in delivering a thorough and comprehensive custodial service within the assigned area. Responsibilities include maintaining designated spaces in a clean and sanitary condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the security of the facility and its contents.
  2. Respond to emergency situations as required.
  3. Manage the lighting and heating systems of the premises, including the operation and upkeep of relevant equipment.
  4. Supervise and oversee cleaning personnel as necessary.
  5. Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, which may include restrooms and shower facilities, utilizing approved cleaning products and tools.

Additional Information:

Upon completing additional years of service by January 1 of each year, following the anniversary of your appointment, your salary will be adjusted to reflect a payment in lieu of the additional leave day accrued at the start of each leave year for the first ten years of service.

Note: Cleaning positions within educational institutions are classified as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
