Medication Refill Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Refill Specialist to join our team at DMC Primary Care. As a Refill Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medication refill process.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process refill requests from various sources, including telephone, email, and patient portal accounts.
- Verify medication protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and timely refills.
- Authorize refills as directed by providers and update patient care information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Manage refills in a timely manner, making adjustments as needed to complete refills within designated timeframes.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant/LNA is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a physician's office, pharmacy, or customer service setting is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, with a high level of attention to detail.
