About Metrolina Nephrology

Metrolina Nephrology Associates is a renowned private practice nephrology group with over 50 years of experience in treating and managing kidney disease. As a leading organization in kidney care, we are committed to delivering high-value care to our patients.

Transplant Program Overview

Our transplant program is part of the Atrium Health Transplant Center, one of North Carolina's most active transplant centers. Our team of transplant nephrologists, working closely with the Atrium team, has been at the forefront of kidney-pancreas transplantation since 1970. We are proud to be among only six centers in the United States operating a hospital-based organ procurement program, resulting in reduced waiting times for organ recipients.

As a Transplant Nephrologist, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to patients with kidney disease who require a kidney transplant. Your day-to-day tasks will include evaluating patients, evaluating organ offers, coordinating with transplant surgeons and other healthcare professionals, managing post-transplant care, and ensuring the best outcomes for patients.

  • Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology
  • Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology
  • Experience in managing kidney transplant patients, including pre- and post-transplant care
