Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Team as a Transplant Coordinator/Gene Therapy Nurse Specialist. This role will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing transplant procedures, ensuring a safe and effective treatment experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients' medical needs, developing individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate transplant procedures, ensuring seamless communication and timely execution.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers throughout the transplant process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in transplant medicine, applying evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of employment.
- 3 years of nursing experience, with a focus on transplant or critical care.
This role will be based in a fast-paced clinic and inpatient setting, requiring the ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday.
