Business Development Manager, AI Partnerships

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our AI Partnerships Team at Meta. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving global partnerships to support our cutting-edge AI products.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for defining, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships for Meta's AI products. You will manage relationships with partners, identify new opportunities, and grow partnership success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and negotiating high-impact partnerships for Meta's AI products
  • Managing relationships with partners and identifying new opportunities
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to define priorities and identify key opportunities
  • Managing external and internal cross-functional teams when integrating products or technologies with external partners
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the AI industry
  • Working cross-functionally with legal, marketing, finance, product, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry trends
  • Providing regular reports and updates on partnership activity and performance

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of work experience in business development, strategy, or related fields
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals, including experience interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys to complete agreements
  • Experience in working closely with product and engineering teams
  • Experience in developing and driving business strategies and initiatives with senior stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills and experience developing working relationships inside and outside an immediate team or partner organization
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Base level knowledge of the AI ecosystem, including the technology, what large and small companies are doing, industry alliances, and broader government and regulatory positions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. JD or MBA
  • Experience in data licensing deals
  • Experience analyzing data and deriving actionable business insights
  • Experience in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous start-up environment
  • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills

Compensation:

$129,000/year to $187,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
