Role of the Financial Aid Officer:
The Financial Aid Officer plays a crucial role in assisting students throughout the financial aid process, ensuring they are adequately funded, organized, and ready to commence each academic term.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide students in completing the FAFSA application.
  • Assess students' eligibility for Title IV funding.
  • Prepare cost estimates and clarify funding options for students and their families.
  • Collaborate with students to gather required documentation for aid processing, particularly for those selected for verification.
  • Monitor weekly reports to confirm that all students' financial aid applications have been processed.
  • Submit financial aid packages in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Maintain a low error rate in submitted financial aid packages.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and respond to student inquiries effectively.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate key professional behaviors.
  • Familiarity with federal and state funding programs is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Title IV regulations is beneficial.
  • Experience with CampusVue software is a plus.
  • Prior financial aid experience is helpful.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
