Position Overview:
Are you a driven critical thinker with a passion for pediatric oncology and critical care medicine? The MSK Kids APP team is seeking an inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to rotate through various teams, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), inpatient surgery, and transplant and cellular therapies. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in an acute care environment, providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients admitted to the inpatient units.

Key Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active New York State license or eligibility for state licensure
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
OR
  • Current New York State RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Pediatric Acute Care NP certification required; Acute Care certification preferred
  • Master's degree in nursing with prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • 2+ years of relevant clinical experience, with PICU experience preferred

  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure seamless collaboration and optimize patient care.
  • Comprehensive Care: Deliver thorough and holistic care to pre-surgical testing patients, addressing their medical needs and ensuring they are prepared for surgery.
  • Assessment Expertise: Conduct detailed history and physical assessments, gathering essential information to inform treatment plans and enhance patient outcomes.
Additional Information:
Hours: 13 shifts per 4-week schedule, 12-hour shifts including days, weekends, and holiday rotation.
