Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual with a strong commitment to pediatric oncology and critical care medicine. The role involves working within the MSK Kids APP team, rotating through various inpatient units including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), inpatient surgical services, and transplant and cellular therapies. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in an acute care environment, providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients admitted to the inpatient units.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- Active New York State license or eligibility for state licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
- Current New York State RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Pediatric Acute Care NP certification required; Acute Care certification preferred
- Master's degree in nursing with prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 2+ years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in PICU
- Collaboration: Work in close partnership with physicians and healthcare team members, including surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Comprehensive Care: Deliver thorough and holistic care to patients undergoing pre-surgical assessments, addressing their medical needs to ensure readiness for surgery.
- Assessment Expertise: Perform detailed history and physical assessments, gathering critical information to inform treatment plans and enhance patient outcomes.
Hours: 13 shifts per 4-week schedule, including 12-hour shifts with day, weekend, and holiday rotations.
Pay Range: $144,000 - $182,000
