Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced Level 3 Technicians with a focus on Blade Repair to oversee field teams. This role involves extensive travel throughout the USA and is project-based, typically seasonal in nature.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Lead your team by conducting daily safety briefings, developing action plans, and managing necessary safety documentation before work commences.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients regarding repair statuses, estimated completion times, and safety documentation.
  • Repair Oversight: Responsible for executing CAT 1-5 repairs and performing composite fiberglass blade repairs.
  • Training: Mentor Level 1 and 2 Technicians on CAT 1-5 repairs and rigging processes.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure the well-being of your team members.
  • Documentation: Prepare essential documents such as jobsite safety analyses, timesheets, and daily reports including blade repair records.
  • Daily Operations: Address any operational tasks that may arise.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and document internal and external blade damage, preparing all necessary paperwork for Engineering review.
  • Perform coating and minor structural repairs on blade surfaces, adhering to Engineering guidelines.
  • Utilize access platforms at heights exceeding 300ft.
  • Assist in site preparation, coordinating labor and materials with minimal oversight.
  • Document all activities using mobile service reporting systems.
  • Update engineering, clients, and management on site status.
  • Provide Lock Out & Tag Out (LOTO) support for wind turbine generators.

Qualifications:
  • Proven supervisory experience, preferably within the Wind Industry.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in blade inspections, working with suspended platforms, rigging, and blade repair processes.
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; preference for candidates with Renewable Energy education.
  • Proficient in rigging suspended platforms.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications including Arc Flash/NFPA70E, Confined Space & Rescue, GWO BST and ART, OSHA 10, LOTO, and Respirator Fit Testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Empathetic and approachable demeanor.
  • Capability to delegate tasks efficiently.
  • Successful candidates must pass background checks and possess a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:
This role involves physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy objects. Technicians will work at heights, in noisy environments, and confined spaces, under various weather conditions, often requiring long hours during the week and weekends.

Compensation:
  • Hourly pay ranges from $32 to $40, depending on experience.
  • Daily per diem of $140 during active employment.
  • Transportation to and from job sites within the USA will be provided.
