Senior Data Science Director

HP Development Company, L.P. is seeking a Senior Data Science Director to lead its team of machine learning engineers and data scientists. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing robust models to support business decisions and strategies.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors that design, deploy, maintain and monitor machine learning models, pipelines, and systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand use cases, user experience requirements, and goals. Then establish development plans commensurate with these requirements.
  • Oversee end-to-end machine learning model lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model selection and optimization, to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Drive the selection and application of appropriate machine learning algorithms, techniques, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing products, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.

Requirements:

  • A four-year or graduate degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in computer programming languages, machine learning, algorithms, statistical methods, or a related field.

Estimated Salary: $180,000 - $250,000 per year
