Responsibilities:


As an Environmental Services Specialist, your primary role will be to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Success in this position requires a meticulous approach and a strong commitment to safety.

Your duties will include routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, as well as utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to enhance sanitation.

You will be trained in proper disposal methods for biohazardous materials, including bodily fluids and sharp objects.

Additionally, you will learn to safely handle disinfecting agents and follow specific procedures for cleaning specialized areas and equipment.

Responsibilities also include restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and linens in patient rooms and common areas.

Your role is vital in providing comfort and safety to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Sanitize various areas using approved methods and tools, which may differ based on location.

Cleaning protocols for patient rooms, emergency departments, and operating rooms will vary from those for hallways, waiting areas, and restrooms.

Utilize appropriate chemicals, procedures, and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection.

Restock necessary supplies in common areas and patient rooms, including soap, paper products, and linens.

Learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for all medical waste, including biological and hazardous materials.

Maintain a patient-centered approach, demonstrating kindness and professionalism in all interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications:
Prior experience in healthcare environmental services is preferred.

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Basic computer skills are advantageous.


Demonstrated ability to interact positively with patients, customers, and team members, showcasing exceptional customer service and teamwork.

Strong listening and verbal communication skills are essential.

Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when collaborating with colleagues.

Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
