ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Culinary Operations Leader at Southern Tier Taproom, you will leverage your experience in a bustling, full-service restaurant environment. Your dedication to providing an outstanding guest experience and your passion for culinary artistry will be key to your success.
  • Conduct daily team briefings, oversee kitchen cleanliness, and manage cooking schedules as directed by the Executive Chef.
  • Lead training and recruitment efforts to foster a strong work ethic and positive culture within the team.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative culinary menus for featured selections and special events.
  • Develop unique pairings of our craft beer offerings with menu items, especially during seasonal releases.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor for all kitchen staff.
  • Manage the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen as scheduled.
  • Oversee inventory management and procurement of supplies.
  • Address customer feedback in line with company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and health regulations, acting as a safety advocate for the kitchen team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Serve Safe Certification required.
  • Strong understanding of craft beer and a keen interest in culinary applications of beer.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with management and staff.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with varying schedules.
