Job Overview:

This position involves advanced consultative and technical support under the guidance of the Director for the Office of Data Analytics and Special Projects.

The primary responsibilities include overseeing division-level planning and coordination of all IT-related operations, encompassing projects, asset management, initiatives, and assignments.

Key tasks involve identifying potential issues and risks associated with IT projects and processes, facilitating collaboration across CHI programs and HHS IT to effectively plan, mitigate, and resolve challenges.

In this role, you will provide essential technical assistance and training to CHI section IT liaisons, ensuring they are equipped to plan, prioritize, and manage the delivery of IT solutions.

This position requires a thorough review and analysis of compliance with division and agency policies, as well as the development of strategies aimed at enhancing IT operations and project management.

Additionally, you will represent the division in various meetings, preparing presentations, project summaries, and briefing documents to inform leadership and facilitate decision-making.

Working with minimal supervision, this role demands a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

To fulfill these responsibilities, you may need to dedicate extra hours to meet critical deadlines and support the agency's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
EJF 1.

Lead the prioritization, planning, and initiation of complex IT projects within the division, managing the development and implementation of IT initiatives. Identify issues and opportunities, facilitating appropriate actions to address them. Establish both short-term and long-term objectives.

Oversee high-profile projects related to data modernization and IT solution development, maintaining a project management log to track issues and risk mitigation efforts.


EJF 2.

Provide guidance and training to CHI section IT liaisons in planning and managing IT solutions and asset management. Develop strategies to enhance IT operations and project coordination.

Assist in identifying and prioritizing IT needs, ensuring alignment with agency goals and exploring opportunities for technological advancements.

Monitor project progress and offer recommendations for improving operational efficiencies.


EJF 3.

Interpret and ensure compliance with policies and regulations from relevant agencies. Develop and maintain division-level IT policies and procedures.

Provide training and guidance to optimize CHI operations and assist in the management of division asset inventories.


EJF 4.

Represent the division in IT-related meetings and workgroups, preparing necessary documentation and summaries for leadership.


EJF 5.

Engage in additional duties as assigned, including participation in disaster response and recovery efforts as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of fiscal and program regulations, project management methodologies, and principles of public administration.

Proficient in IT solutions and asset management, with skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and effective communication.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
