Position Information:

The Behavioral Health Licensed Clinician (BHLC) is responsible for providing mental health and substance use services at WakeMed. This includes conducting in-person and tele assessments, providing emergency psychiatric and substance use clinical assessments, and offering crisis intervention and supportive counseling.

The BHLC will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, psychiatry, and psychology staff, to provide diagnostic and functional evaluations, safety assessments, and patient engagement. The successful candidate will also be responsible for facilitating voluntary and involuntary commitments, as directed by the physician, and assisting with diagnostic clarification, post-discharge treatment recommendations, and high-risk behavior mitigation.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Mental Health Or 2 Years Clinical - Substance Abuse/Addiction Required

Education Required:
Master's Degree Counseling Or Psychology Or Marriage and Family Therapy Or Social Work Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate Or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate Or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate Required - And Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Preferred Certified Notary Required - Within 1 Year of Hire

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:45pm - 7:15am
