Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the Pelican Bay State Prison. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Support daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
