About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep and maintenance of our 7-acre campus, including 7 buildings that clients and team members use daily to transform the lives of over 3,000 homeless and near-homeless individuals each year.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Facilities Manager and Operations Director in ensuring Our House is a safe and healthy environment for staff and residents.
  2. Help maintain Our House property, including grounds, buildings, and vehicles.
  3. Assist in general maintenance on items such as HVAC, grounds equipment, minor plumbing, etc.
  4. Report any issues that may arise with buildings and equipment that require major repairs.
  5. Develop good relationships with department heads and directors to assist with needs within your ability.
  6. Maintain a professional relationship with residents, job trainees, and clients receiving our services and working on the facilities team.
  7. Provide clear communication with staff when action is needed to ensure the environment is safe from hazards.
  8. Aid in the occasional task of helping direct traffic flow and parking for events held on our campus.
  9. Assist vendors when needed for inspections or repairs to our campus.
  10. Conduct other duties as assigned to fulfill Our House's mission.
Requirements
  • Background in building and grounds maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to perform assigned job tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reliability and punctuality to perform daily duties.
  • Willingness to continue learning and growing if opportunities are presented.
