Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Membership Engagement Specialist to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, developing strong relationships, and connecting them with programs and activities that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with members, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Conduct membership interviews, enroll new members, and provide motivational support and guidance.
  • Process member applications, including data entry, and balance and complete reports for financial transactions.
  • Assist members with program registration, answer inquiries, and provide information on YMCA membership and programs.
  • Support member engagement and retention activities, including follow-up on prospects who have not joined and new member survey feedback.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Requirements
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Six months or more of relevant work experience in sales, retail, reception, customer service, or a related field.
  • Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple questions via phone, email, and in person.
  • Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
