Quail Park of Lynnwood, a renowned senior living community, seeks an experienced Cook to join our dynamic Signature Dining Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents by providing exceptional culinary experiences that cater to their diverse tastes and dietary needs.

Salary Information
The selected candidate can expect a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the high standard of service we strive to deliver.

Key Responsibilities
In this exciting position, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing meals according to our Signature Dining Standards, ensuring freshness and temperature control. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will be paramount in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Additionally, you will:
  • FOLLOW RECIPES AND PROPER PROCEDURES TO COOK AND PREP ALL FOOD TO SIGNATURE DINING STANDARDS WHILE MAINTAINING FRESHNESS AND APPROPRIATE TEMPERATURES
  • Be responsible for proper food storage, including covering, labeling, dating, and placing items in the correct food storage areas.
  • Ensure safe food handling techniques at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment before and after each use.
  • Maintain all kitchen surfaces, including floors, counters, sinks, cabinets, and walk-in freezer and fridge, in a clean and sanitary state during your shift.
  • Complete deep cleaning procedures according to schedule or as directed.

Requirements and Qualifications
We are seeking a skilled Cook with a minimum of 1 year of applicable food service experience. Previous experience in hotel/restaurant or senior living environments is preferred. You must possess a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations are essential. Additionally, you must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English effectively to communicate with residents, guests, staff, and vendors. Meeting all health-related and/or food-handling requirements pertaining to local and state regulatory agencies is also mandatory. Furthermore, you must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler's credentials.
