Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Brookdale Alderwood in Lynnwood, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team, ensuring that all buildings and grounds are well-maintained, and providing excellent customer service to our residents.
- Supervise Maintenance Staff: Directly supervise and train maintenance technicians and building engineers, delegating tasks, hiring, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues, and firing as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to maintenance requests from residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating, and replacing light bulbs.
- Ensures walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas of the community are properly maintained.
- Conducts in-service fire safety training for all employees.
- Affirms compliance with local and state regulations, oversees property damage assessment and filing claims according to company policy.
- Reviews safety data sheets (SDS) for potential exposure to hazardous chemicals used and takes necessary precautions.
- May directly supervise maintenance technicians and building engineers.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid State Driver's License required for vehicle travel, as needed.

Work EnvironmentThis role requires occasional weekend, evening, or night work if needed to ensure shift coverage. You will be standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking, hearing, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, possible exposure to various drugs, chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, subject to injury from falls, burns, odors, or cuts from equipment.
