Enrollment Coordinator

We are seeking an Enrollment Specialist to effectively manage the enrollment processes within our organization. The role involves handling all eligibility and financial transactions as designated, maintaining regular communication with brokers and clients regarding enrollment and payment matters. The Enrollment Specialist will assist brokers and Financial Services Administrators (FSAs) with inquiries related to eligibility, fulfillment materials, and billing, while also overseeing the collection process for any failed billing payments. Additionally, this position includes the creation and renewal of accounts in the GeoBlue database as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes new group accounts in the database.
- Renews current accounts within the database.
- Processes all required New Business and Renewal transactions as assigned.
- Ensures accurate establishment of all premiums in the database.
- Handles additions and deletions of dependents.
- Manages cancellations and processes refunds or applies credits as necessary.
- Collaborates with the Finance Department on account reconciliations, financial discrepancies, and charge-back requests.
- Distributes all confirmations, cancellation notices, and fulfillment notices to members and brokers as required.
- Coordinates special mail delivery requests with the Fulfillment unit.
- Manages all eligibility transactions related to failed payments in accordance with the GeoBlue Business Rules.
- Provides assistance to brokers and members regarding claims, eligibility, fulfillment materials, benefits, and billing; collaborates with brokers to collect premiums for failed payments and invoice recipients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of two years' experience in the health insurance sector with customer service interaction, data entry skills, and broker relations; experience in explaining plan features and benefits and resolving claims-related issues is advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively address customer complaints and concerns.
- Familiarity with insurance products and terminology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to utilize automated enrollment processing software.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Capability to make informed decisions supported by documentation.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Must have a minimum internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).
Working Environment:
- Flexibility to work in an office or remote environment.
- Occasional overtime and schedule flexibility may be required. Attendance at key business meetings and performance of critical job functions outside normal working hours may be necessary.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively through auditory and visual methods.
Competitive base salary starting at $37,739 annually. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and skill level in a similar role.
