Job Description:

The Senior Director, Benefits is responsible for developing and implementing the benefits strategy for 10,000 employees and thousands of retirees and former employees at CHS Inc. This includes leading a team in the design, administration, and compliance of employee benefit programs such as health and life insurance, wellness, disability, pension, 401(k), profit sharing, paid time off, vacation, leave of absence, and related programs.

This position reports to the Vice President of Total Rewards and requires a strong understanding of retirement (Defined Benefits and Defined Contribution) and health and wellness benefits as well as other benefit programs. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of demonstrated benefits experience with 5+ years leading a benefits function and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and analyzes U.S. benefit policies, plans, services, and programs
  • Provides input into the design, development, and implementation of a competitive and effective total rewards strategy
  • Negotiates directly with third-party vendors and insurance carriers
  • Manages all associated costs and assures compliance with all legal requirements

Requirements:

  • High school/GED or an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of retirement and health and wellness benefits
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $160,000 per year
