Vascular Sonographer Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will perform non-invasive ultrasound procedures to recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures, and blood flow.
Responsibilities- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations to provide accurate diagnostic information to physicians.
- Adjust scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform.
- Analyze sonographic findings to complete comprehensive exams and provide sufficient data for physicians to render a final diagnosis.
- Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination and according to established laboratory policy and procedure.
- Notify appropriate personnel when procedural findings are significant or patient condition is of concern.
- Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing Program.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, or BCLS Instructor, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Vascular Sonographer certification.
