Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage Quality and Engineering Teams: Oversee the Quality and Engineering departments to ensure the highest standards of product quality and engineering excellence.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Strategies: Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and processes to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Product Design and Development: Oversee the design, development, and validation of new products and processes.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and customer service, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee Engineering Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and according to specifications.
  • Manage and Mentor a Team: Manage and mentor a team of quality and engineering professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Monitor and Report KPIs: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and engineering performance.
  • Liaise with Customers and Suppliers: Liaise with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns and drive improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or Quality Management. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a quality and engineering role within the automotive industry, with metal ICE components background.
  • Management Experience: 2 years of management experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) are a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and APQP.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO14001, OSHSAS18001, ISO/EC17025, VDA6.3, VDA6.5, FORD Q1 CERTIFICATION, etc.).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Software Tools and Systems: Proficiency in quality and engineering software tools and systems.
