Position Overview

The Inspection Engineer will play a crucial role within the Inspection & Fixed Equipment team, focusing on enhancing the reliability of fixed asset systems. This position is integral to managing and refining the Inspection and Static Equipment program, ensuring optimal performance of piping, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and structural components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and enhance the Inspection and Static Equipment program, ensuring the reliability of critical fixed asset systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance Engineers, Leaders, Reliability Specialists, and Inspection Contractors to manage inspections and analyze findings.
  • Develop and implement effective repair and replacement strategies based on inspection data.
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance processes, striving for maximum equipment uptime.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies to drive improvements in the inspection program.
  • Identify and propose projects aimed at continuously enhancing the Mechanical Integrity program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the petrochemical sector.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with diverse teams.
  • Preferred certifications include API 510, API 570, API 653, and NACE CIP.
  • Familiarity with API 579, 580, and 581 standards is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ASME Codes and Standards related to structural steel, tanks, vessels, and piping.
  • Understanding of welding processes and static equipment repair techniques is beneficial.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
Physical Requirements

The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility, including climbing ladders and entering vessels for inspection tasks. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and comply with safety regulations regarding personal protective equipment.

Work Availability

Regular attendance is essential for this position, with expectations for consistent availability during standard operational hours.
