Senior Hardware Engineer

PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting complex electronic hardware for deployment on printed circuit boards (PCBs) in the medical imaging equipment space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop moderate to complex electronic hardware for PCBs, including circuit design, sub-system, and board level design.
  • Collaborate with PCB designers to implement PCB layouts, providing oversight, guidance, and design constraint.
  • Perform hardware testing and characterization on circuits and system level performance, identifying defects and recommending solutions.
  • Participate in all aspects of the engineering life cycle of PCB hardware products, including design, implementation, verification, and sustaining activities.
  • Follow established processes, engage in process refinement, and develop new processes as needed.
  • Provide design realization and planning estimates, considering technical and logistical factors.
  • Responsible for external supplier and fabrication support, as well as interdisciplinary peer collaboration.
  • Author technical documents, specifications, and reports as required for development efforts.
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior engineers and technicians on design, testing, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of related hardware development experience, including board and circuit level design, analog and digital design proficiency, and simulation skills.
  • Experience with multiple integrated power converter circuits, complex PDN architectures, FPGA board and code design, high-speed serial data circuit design, PLL and clocking circuits, and standard serial data protocols.
  • Digital logic design and familiarity with multiple logic families, as well as competency operating sophisticated lab testing equipment.
  • Cadence experience, software skills, and mechanical engineering acumen are a plus.
Work Environment:

PEAK Technical Staffing USA offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing the ideal candidate to work from home on some days and from the office on other days based on project and business requirements.

Travel:

The ideal candidate should be able to complete domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.
