Work Environment

The work is typically performed in an office setting, and onsite/in-person. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment and remain focused on tasks. Inventory management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 30lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not their first language. This also includes the ability to produce clearly written documents. Those who are multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation

The salary is $3,645.43/month ($21/hour) (prorated to a 16 hour per week schedule) and is based on the Eastern Washington University administrative/exempt salary schedule. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.

Work Schedule

The OIP's operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., including some evenings and weekends. The person in this role needs to be available during that time frame for training and occasional meetings. After the initial training period, there is room for a flexible arrangement regarding scheduling hours outside of regular office hours. Position is for 6 months with a possibility of extension (18-months max).

FLSA Status

The position is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.
