Java Developer with IRS Clearance: Delivering Digital Transformation

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team at 3M Consultancy, supporting the Digital Modernization program. As a Full Stack Java Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying modern Java web applications iteratively in the AWS environment using DevSecOps Tools.

This is a remote opportunity that involves providing agile technical delivery activities and crafting technical strategy with our larger technical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop modern Java web applications using Object Oriented or Functional Programming approaches.
  • Craft and deploy high-quality code in the AWS environment, leveraging DevSecOps Tools.
  • Work effectively in a Test-Driven Development environment and engage in Pair Programming.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Technologies such as AWS and operate in a JVM-based environment with required technologies.
Requirements Overview
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a related field with at least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming skills with Java 8+ and experience with container-based technology like Docker.
  • Experience with Configuration Management/Automation technologies such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Preferably experienced in Agile Development environments (Scrum, SAFe) and Python, EKS, Helm.
  • At least 3+ years of experience working in an AWS environment and cloud-native systems.
  • Expertise in DevOps / DevSecOps and implementing modern web applications.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end delivery from UX design to production release and work within Continuous Delivery Patterns and Practices.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance with IRS component/agency is highly preferred, specifically Active MBI with IRS clearance.
What We Offer

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
