We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Legends. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing all accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures. This role will also involve overseeing the preparation and evaluation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial operating reports, as well as presenting findings and recommendations to Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and review of budget-to-actual reports.
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolution to reconciling items.
  • Assist General Manager in weekly forecast updates.
  • Review accounts receivable balances and perform collections as needed.
  • Prepare daily cash deposits and coordinate armored car pick-ups.
  • Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliation for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
  • Prepare audit schedules and filing sales/use tax forms in multi-state environments.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytic and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, successfully completing assigned tasks accurately and completely.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently with minor supervision.
  • Strong team player with commitment to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX required.
