Position Title: Lead Cashier

Role Summary: Fort Brands is in search of a committed and skilled Lead Cashier to manage our cashiering personnel and guarantee seamless operations at the point of sale. The Lead Cashier will play a crucial role in overseeing cashiering functions, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring precise transaction documentation. Primary Duties:

  1. Oversee and mentor cashiering team members, offering direction on operational procedures.
  2. Ensure compliance with company standards and protocols, including accurate and efficient transaction handling.
  3. Support cashiers in executing intricate transactions, managing refunds, and addressing customer concerns.
  4. Monitor customer flow and wait times at checkout to enhance the shopping experience.
  5. Maintain precise transaction logs and compile daily cash summaries for management review.
  6. Assist in the establishment and enforcement of cash handling and security measures to mitigate theft or fraud.
  7. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations with professionalism and promptness.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or training in retail management is advantageous.
  • Prior cashiering experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for motivating and guiding team members.
  • Excellent numerical skills for managing cash transactions and reconciling cash drawers.
  • Proficient in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
