Veterinary Surgical Team Member

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgical Team Member to join our surgical team at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinary assistant/technician looking to advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the well-being and safety of all animals.
- Support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and clerical work.
- Calm and soothe anxious patients, providing emotional support and reassurance.
- Assist with laboratory tests, radiographs, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records, adhere to hospital policies and protocols, and demonstrate a commitment to quality care.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and one or more years' experience in a veterinary environment.
- Vet Tech (VTNE) Certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to lift moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
The estimated salary for this position is $18-$25 USD per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including full benefits (vision, health, dental), 401k, bi-annual scrub allowance, generous PTO, and employee discounting.
