Job Title: Disability Benefits Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Disability Benefits Coordinator to join our team at Turning Point, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Disability Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for conducting reviews and processing of Social Security and SSP determinations, Representative Payee and Social Security Disability Reviews, as well as Section 8 certifications/re-certifications and Leases, Mass Health, ARD Authorized Representative Designee and Mass Health Reviews, and Medicare Benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reviews and processing of Social Security and SSP determinations, Representative Payee and Social Security Disability Reviews.
  • Process Section 8 certifications/re-certifications and Leases, Mass Health, ARD Authorized Representative Designee and Mass Health Reviews, and Medicare Benefits.
  • Ensure all steps are completed and maintain confidentiality in all duties.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience navigating Mass Health and Social Security Income benefits required.
  • Experience in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required.
  • A working knowledge of accounting or related software.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel and other general office procedures, as well as Outlook and/or Google email.
  • Proven ability to function confidentially in an office environment.
