Position Overview

The Senior Cosmetic Chemist will play a pivotal role in the creation and enhancement of skincare products. This position involves:

  • Product Development: Spearheading the innovation of skincare solutions, including new product lines and enhancements.
  • Formulation Technology: Identifying and implementing cutting-edge formulation technologies to fulfill project specifications.
  • Client Engagement: Providing expert technical support to clients through various communication methods.
  • Industry Awareness: Keeping abreast of emerging concepts, materials, and collaborations within the cosmetic sector.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Working closely with various teams and material suppliers to ensure project success.
  • Stability Oversight: Monitoring the stability of developed formulations to ensure product quality.
  • Project Management: Efficiently managing projects and delivering weekly progress reports.
  • Mentorship: Guiding and training junior chemists in the formulation and color matching of cosmetics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in skincare formulation development.
  • Proven experience in the development of OTC products is essential.
  • Experience with SPF and color formulation is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of formulation processes and scale-up methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail along with strong organizational and communication abilities.
