Senior Cosmetic Chemist

The Senior Cosmetic Chemist will play a pivotal role in the formulation and innovation of skincare products at Englewood Lab, Inc. This position involves:

• Product Development: Spearheading the creation of groundbreaking skincare solutions, including new product lines and enhancements to existing offerings.
• Formulation Technology: Exploring and implementing advanced formulation technologies to fulfill project specifications.
• Client Interaction: Providing expert technical support to clients through various communication methods.
• Industry Awareness: Keeping abreast of emerging trends, materials, and collaborations within the cosmetic sector.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Working closely with various teams and suppliers to ensure successful product outcomes.
• Stability Oversight: Monitoring the stability of developed formulations to ensure quality and efficacy.
• Project Management: Efficiently managing projects and delivering weekly progress updates.
• Mentorship: Guiding and supervising junior chemists in the formulation and color matching of cosmetic products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in skincare formulation development.
• Proven experience in the development of OTC products is essential.
• Experience with SPF and color formulations is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of formulation processes and scale-up techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational and communication skills.
