Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cosmetic Chemist to join our team at Englewood Lab, Inc. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for formulating and developing innovative skin care products, line extensions, and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and develop new skin care products, including creams, lotions, and serums.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new formulation technologies and implement them to meet project needs.
  • Provide technical support to customers through oral, presentation, and written venues.
  • Proactively scan and research new concepts, materials, technical opportunities, and partnerships.
  • Interface with all departments throughout the company and interact with material suppliers.
  • Monitor product stability for your own formulas.
  • Effectively manage projects and provide weekly status reports.
  • Supervise, mentor, teach, and lead junior chemists in color cosmetics formulation and color matching.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing skin care formulations.
  • Must have experience in OTC product development.
  • SPF and color formulation experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of formulations and scale-up.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and excellent communication skills are necessary.
