Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team in a rural community hospital setting. As a Medical Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat various conditions of the visual system
  • Provide professional Optometry services, including eye exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to manage eye conditions and promote eye health

Requirements

  • Graduate of a fully accredited college of optometry program (OD)
  • 1-3 years of clinic experience preferred
  • Licensed by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO)
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft desktop application and navigation skills
